INITIAL CONSULTATION

After the initial contact by phone or email, I usually suggest that we meet for a ‘no obligation’ consultation. I will visit you in your home at a time convenient to you where we can have an unhurried informal meeting. This gives us the opportunity to meet each other and together, we will discuss your hopes and expectations for this pregnancy. This visit gives you the opportunity to establish if the care that I offer is right for you.

It is vital that you feel totally comfortable with and confident in your midwife if you are going to achieve a beautiful birthing experience that lives up to your expectations. For this reason, I would like you to spend a couple of days making a decision after our initial meeting and I will wait for you to phone me if you decide you want me to provide your care.

If and when you make this decision, I am then available for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I will then see you again at a time suitable to you for your booking appointment.

I do charge a small fee for this consultation, however this is fully deductible from the overall fee if you choose to book with me.
