WHY
CHOOSE BEAUTIFUL BEGINNINGS INDEPENDENT MIDWIFERY PRACTICE
The pregnancy and
birth of your baby is undoubtedly a time of vast and intense emotions
where it is of the utmost importance that you feel safe and confident
with the care that both you and your baby are receiving. As an independent
midwife, I am able to offer you the time and commitment that is necessary
to establish a close and trusting relationship with you and your partner.
This trust is vital in ensuring that you are making the right choices
for yourself and your baby. I provide true women-centred care, with the
focus on you having a pregnancy and birthing experience that is truly
beautiful and empowering.
Each visit is
an opportunity for us to build a trusting relationship, and for me to
get to know your family and the values that are important to you. We are
able to spend time discussing your hopes and fears, and any childbirth
experiences you have had in the past.
There is no more
need for long waits to be seen for you antenatal appointments. Whilst,
medically I probably only need to see you about 6 times in your pregnancy,
I choose to see you more frequently in order to truly get to know you.
Care is provided in your own home, at a time and date convenient to you.
Evening appointments are also possible if you would like your partner
to be with you. Your antenatal appointments will be unhurried in order
to cover all issues that arise at that particular juncture of pregnancy.
Once you have
booked with me, I will be on call to you 24 hours a day, seven days a
week throughout your pregnancy. Another very reassuring fact about having
an independent midwife is that when it comes time to have your baby, you
do not need to worry that your midwife will leave you half way through
your labour as her shift ends, only to have your care taken over by a
midwife you have never met and have not established a relationship with.
Once you have give
birth, I will continue to care for you and your baby and will remain on
call for you for 28 days after the birth. This is to give you confidence
in breastfeeding and life with your precious new baby.
even schedule a couple of
the antenatal visits for the evening so that your partner could be there
as well. |
